Winter wants nothing to do with damon but it all works out eventually. I was looking for a good thin waterproof yet breathable jacket for spring and fall, and i do not want a waxed jacket I don't know barbour very well. The ashby is slightly more fitted in the chest, could probably only get away with a medium weight sweater to layer and remain comfortable
Sapper was definitely much heftier with the insulation but still offered a slim fit
For the sapper i could probably layer a hoodie underneath without much issue Both fit pics are in size medium. The ashby + a shetland sweater gets you down to maybe 45 degrees f at the coldest Nyc has been having a really mild late fall (you could have worn it yesterday or today), but you’d be pretty uncomfortable in january or february with it.
