Today i installed a new transformer and two ring doorbell wired for a neighbor's relative I upgraded their transformer to 24v 40va I then went in their chime box to install the jumper wires betwe. I found that there are 2 small spring loaded pins inside the unit that make contact with 2 screw terminal posts on the back casing
However, i noticed only one of the pins was extended.
Well i guess i’ll see how long the batteries last on these 2 cams, i’m hoping till spring but i doubt it I’m extremely disappointed in this setup and lack of plain, prominent, installation information that comes with the cam and solar panels. I've decided i won't be adding to my ring devices until the playing field is levelled up I don't want police or fire dispatch just having the alerts would be useful
