Overdoing the power thing for me is just a turn off Although if it is done properly it is the thing that holds the readers attention. In my novel, my mc has arrived in earth but i dont want him to find my other mc the minute he arrives becasue thats unrealistic I might want to spend another chapter of them looking for her and exploring earth but i'm scared it will be boring.

So im fairly new to serious writing and recently started to try to write a horror book but even after writing a for while im still at only 2.5k words.
